Vintage Kids

Where kids and their families are made, matured, and multiplied as disciples of Jesus for the glory of God.

Vintage Kids classrooms provide a fun, safe, and Bible centered environment for children from nursery through 5th grade. Each week, students engage in prayer, worship, biblical teaching, and age appropriate activities designed to help them grow in their understanding of God and His Word.

Our volunteers are trained, background checked, and committed to creating a welcoming space where every child feels known, loved, and cared for. We desire for each classroom to be both engaging and Gospel focused, helping children build a growing relationship with Jesus.

Classrooms are organized by age and developmental stage:
Nursery , Toddlers, PreK, Kinder-2nd, 3rd-5th

Upon your first visit, please proceed to the Kids Check In area. A trained volunteer will assist you with registration, answer any questions, and direct you to your child’s classroom.

Our goal is to provide a smooth, secure, and welcoming experience for you and your family from
the moment you arrive.

The safety and protection of every child is a high priority within Vintage Kids. The following policies and procedures are in place to ensure a secure and well supervised environment at all
times.

Check In and Check Out

  • A matching parent receipt is required at pick up. The security code on the receipt must match
the code on the child’s name tag.
  • Children may only be released to a parent or authorized guardian.
  • If a receipt is lost, a government issued ID is required. A Kids Ministry Staff Member will verify
    guardianship before releasing the child.
  • If a parent or guardian is needed during service, a Kids Ministry Staff Member will call or text them.

Restroom Policies

  • Restrooms located within the Kids area are reserved for children who are checked in during
    service.
  • All adults, including volunteers, must use designated adult restrooms outside of the Kids area when church is in service.

Security Oversight

  • Our dedicated security team regularly monitors the entire facility, and supervisors are present at every service to oversee the Vintage Kids classrooms and hallways.

Classroom Ratios and Access

  • Each classroom operates according to established child to volunteer ratios to ensure safety
    and quality care.
  • Classroom capacity is limited based on these ratios and volunteer availability.
  • Parents and guardians are asked not to enter classrooms unless invited or approved by a
Kids Ministry Staff Member. This policy protects both children and screened volunteers.

Volunteer Screening

  • All volunteers complete an application and interview process.
  • Background and reference checks are required prior to serving.
  • Volunteers receive ministry specific training before being scheduled.
  • A CPR and First Aid certified volunteer is always present during all services.

Emergency Preparedness

  • All volunteers are trained in emergency response procedures, including evacuation and
    lockdown protocols.
  • In the event of an evacuation, parents will reunite with their children at the designated outdoor
    location on campus.
  • During a lockdown, classroom doors will remain secured until an official all clear is given. Children will only be released once it is safe to do so.

Child Protection Policy

The health and well being of every child and volunteer is important to us. In order to provide a safe and healthy environment, we ask families to carefully review and follow the guidelines below.

Well Child Policy

Children should not be checked in if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms
unrelated to pre existing conditions:

  • Fever of 100 degrees or higher within the past 72 hours
  • Diarrhea, vomiting, upset stomach, or unexplained rash other than diaper rash
  • Drainage from the eyes or ears, or open sores
  • Extreme irritability or unusual fatigue
  • Head lice or mouth sores
  • Persistent coughing or sneezing unrelated to allergies or asthma
  • Exposure to or diagnosis of a contagious illness within the household, including pink eye, strep throat, head lice, chicken pox, or COVID 19
  • Any illness that prevents full participation in classroom activities
If a child begins displaying any of the above symptoms while in our care, a parent or guardian will be notified and asked to pick up their child promptly.

Allergies and Medical Concerns

  • All allergies and medical concerns must be noted during initial registration in the check in system.
  • Allergy and medical alerts will appear on the child’s name tag each week.
  • If updates are needed, a Check-In Volunteer or Kids Ministry Staff Member can assist in modifying your child’s profile.

These procedures help ensure that every child remains safe, healthy, and properly cared for
during each service.

At Vintage Kids, each classroom gathering is intentionally structured around four core rhythms:
Pray, Sing, Read, and Play. These elements help create a consistent, engaging environment where children learn to worship God, understand His Word, and build meaningful relationships.

We utilize the curriculum from The Biggest Story, which walks children through the entire
narrative of Scripture over a two year cycle. Each lesson is designed to be biblically faithful, age appropriate, and engaging, helping children see how every part of the Bible points to Jesus.

Families are encouraged to review the current Curriculum Guides to stay informed about what their child is learning each week and to continue those conversations at home.

Angelina Wedge

Kids Director

Hi! I’m Angelina, and I have the joy of serving as the Vintage Kids Director. My heart is to create a place where every child feels safe, loved, and excited to learn about Jesus. At Vintage Kids, we believe children are not just the future of the church, they are an important part of it right now.

Our desire is to partner with families as we teach kids God’s Word, help them grow in their faith, and show them what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives. It is such a gift to walk alongside families during these important years.

I am so thankful for the amazing volunteers and families that make this ministry so special. We love getting to know every child and family who walks through our doors!
Serving in Vintage Kids is one of the most meaningful ways to be part of what God is doing at Vintage. When you join the team, you are helping kids learn about Jesus in a fun, safe, and loving environment.

Whether you love teaching, holding babies, helping with check in, or simply being a friendly face, there is a place for you on the team. You will build relationships, grow in your faith, and be part of shaping the next generation.

If Vintage is your home church, we would love for you to be part of the Vintage Kids team.

At Vintage Kids, we believe parents are such an important spiritual influence in a child’s life. Our goal is to partner with families as they disciple their kids and teach them to follow Jesus.

Each week we teach biblical truth in a way kids can understand, and we want to help continue those conversations at home. Through resources, encouragement, and simple tools, we want to support families as they grow in faith together.

Faith is not meant to happen only on Sundays. It is something we live out every day as a family.
